All Things KC Lynn (Part 2)

Is anyone else excited about Fall being right around the corner??  For me, it means, sweatshirts, boots but best of all being able to snuggle under a blanket and read for hours!!

Here’s where I can help you out with that!  Last week I shared Part 1 of All Things KC Lynn.  I introduced you to her first series ‘Men of Honor’ and the wonderful ‘Beautifully Insightful’.  If you have not read them, hopefully, you picked them up and added them to your TBR list.

Today I’m going to introduce you to KC’s next series ‘Acts of Honor’, a spin-off from the ‘Men of Honor’ series.

The series consists of:

‘An Act of Redemption’~ Logan and Anna’s story. 
‘An Act of Salvation’~ Nick and Katelyn’s story. 
‘An Act of Obsession’~ Kolan and Sophie’s story. 
‘An Act of Courage’~ Christopher and Alissa’s story.

An Act of Redemption is the first in a series of novels which are a spin off of the ‘Men of Honor‘ series. In this first installment, we follow the story of Anna & Logan.

Anna was the rescued victim of the sex trafficking trade in ‘Resisting Temptation‘ and Logan is her hero and the boy who pulled her through the bad times and helped her on the road to recovery.  Anna and Logan’s story is not easy. In fact, their story deals with some tough subject matter, but as always, KC Lynn has handled it in the best way. But, in the end, they just get one another. The faith and trust that they have in one another, allows them to get past the most impossible of situations. And boy do they love each other something fierce. Logan is 100% alpha male. He knows what he wants, and what he wants is Anna.  KC Lynn once again delivered a heartfelt and emotional read.  The plot is so captivating. The characters are tough and real. They are so easy to care about and to relate to. Even the secondary characters can’t help but mean something to you. Especially, our new friend, Sarge. He is such a special character. I hope that we will be seeing more of him in the future. And I don’t know about you, but I love getting to see characters from other books and how they are all connected and have grown.

Next up is ‘An Act of Salvation‘.  This book features characters we have met in previous books by this author but it can be read as a stand alone without missing a beat and as with all this author’s books it has no cliffy and the epic HEA. The alpha male that gets brought to his knees by a small but mighty woman keeps getting better and better every time this author picks up a pen.

When they were younger, Katelyn Slade, her brother, Kolan, and his best friend, Nick Stone were one another’s saving grace; they looked out for each other and provided safe haven amidst the torment done to them by others. Despite their bond, Nick’s inability to fully trust anyone but himself and his need to get away from his past separates them and breaks Katelyn’s heart a little bit more, making her feel likes she’s not enough despite Nick’s claim that she is MORE. But even after a number of years apart, Katelyn and Nick’s feelings for one another have remained and now that Katelyn needs Nick’s help in order to clear her brother’s name, will he finally trust her with his heart and give her the more she deserves, or will he save her brother only to destroy her once again?

K.C. Lynn seriously knows how to craft a story filled with steam and suspense – one that both curls your toes and stalls your heart due to the explosive connection between the hero and heroine and the danger they find themselves in as they try to figure out how to stay safe and where they stand with one another as they do so.  ‘An Act of Salvation‘ exudes the qualities that readers have come to expect from K.C. Lynn, which are suspenseful story lines, complex and damaged characters, and a sizzling chemistry between the hero and heroine that resonates off the pages.

After I finished ‘An Act of Salvation’ it just wasn’t possible to not start ‘An Act of Obsession‘ right away. I needed to know more about Kolan and how he was going to move on from so many betrayals in his life. And the story that I read was beyond what I even imagined it would be.

Kolan and Sophie were wonderful characters that I loved reading about and getting to know everything there was to know about. Sophie really intrigued me with her past and I loved seeing her with Kolan and how he helped her open up some. They both had trust issues for obvious reasons but they didn’t let that stop them from exploring the attraction they had, which was smexy as all get out.

K.C. Lynn like always never disappoints and just like all her other books this one grabs you from the very beginning and hold you hostage until the end and it takes you to this magnificent journey of hurt, secrets, pain but above all that there’s healing, forgiveness and a whole lot of LOVE.

The final book in the series is ‘An Act of Courage‘.  This book is a second chance romance. Christopher and Alissa dated through high school. Although they were very much in love, things didn’t work out for them. Since then, Christopher has been in the military and Alissa has been to nursing school. They haven’t seen each other in five years, but something big brings them back together. And all those feelings come rushing back. Christopher loves Alissa so much. He only wants what is best for her. He’s a hero that will steal your heart right from the start. I adored him and the relationship he had with his family. It was so beautiful. His past has made him into the man he is today, and that man is damaged and a little broken, but Alissa loves every broken piece of him. I rooted for this couple so hard. I wanted them together so much.

This book is on a whole other level when it comes to bringing the feels. I felt so much. I cried so hard. It’s a tear jerker for sure, but trust me- the end is worth it. Every single tear I shed was worth it when I was left with the most perfect ending ever. An Act of Courage is an emotionally charged, stunning and unforgettable second chance romance. If you are like me and haven’t read a KC Lynn book, get to it! You don’t know what you’re missing!

I’m gonna stop this post here.  Hopefully, after reading this series, you will want to add these to your TBR list also.  The hardest part of reading KC Lynn’s works? It’s never the story, it’s not even the characters. Because in the real sense, reading KC Lynn’s books feels like heaven. Sure there are heart-wrenching scenes and soul crushing moments that will bleed your heart out and in turn, will eventually lead you to sob and bawl like a baby, but no…it was never that. The hardest part always is trying to express the depth and sheer beauty of these books to you the reader. Nothing can ever express an emotion that will give justice to any of her works. That, and a book hangover that will make you question, “now, what’s next?” and a plea for “please KC Lynn, I want more… I needed more!”
